Pigment Sketch

Pigment Sketch is an AI-powered tool for creating children’s coloring pages, optimized for parents, teachers, and self-publishing creators through a simple credit-based model.

Approach

Wanted to build something fun and ship quickly so I could focus on marketing and revenue, even at a small scale. I took an idea I’d already seen working in the market and differentiated on pricing model and simplicity. After running a competitive analysis using HubSpot’s framework, I determined that users didn’t need a monthly subscription given their low usage frequency, so I opted for a credit-based model instead.

Role: Founder & Developer

• Engineered and deployed a serverless application using Next.js, SST, and Supabase, integrating AWS and Stripe for infrastructure and payments, completing the project within two weeks with AI-assisted development (Codeium).
• Designed a credit-based pricing model after competitive research showed subscriptions were a poor fit for the usage pattern.
